FIBA Cup 2007 Final: Girona makes its debut as continental champion in front of its fans

In 2007, the final four was held in Girona, and the Catalan club took advantage of this to beat Azovmash in the final (79-72) and be crowned for the first time in the history of the club, champion of a continental competition. The first half of the final moved in parameters of maximum equality, always with short advantages and in a game without owner (40-36), where McDonald with 18 points at half time was the absolute protagonist in these minutes. At the restart the Catalans went on the scoreboard, came to put (54-41), but was ephemeral domain, with the Ukrainians fixing the situation throughout the third act (59-55), and tying the score four minutes to go (67-67). Once again, McDonald led a partial reaction (8-5) that was already final.
