In 2005 the EuroCup final was held in Charleroi, with Lietuvos Rytas winning the title after beating Makedonikos in the final (78-74). The Lithuanians managed to gain about twenty points, but in the end they asked for the time to win. The MVP went to Robertas Javtokas

With this victory Lietuvos Rytas inaugurated its palmares at continental level. The final had two very different halves. The first one where Lietuvos dominated at will, arriving at the break with a clear (44-24). An advantage that was extended to (61-35). From here the Lithuanians relaxed, and the Makedonikos with Mickeal assuming in attack, filed distances to get to four points, but never had real options to overcome.
