EuroBasket Final 1989: Yugoslavia wins Gold without major problem

In the summer of 1989 the EuroBasket was held in Zagreb; where as could not be otherwise Yugoslavia playing home demonstrated its superiority. With extra motivation, coupled with a powerful team, Yugoslavia won with authority the European Gold, comfortably defeating Greece in the final by 98-7

In the semi-finals Yugoslavia also had no problem beating Italy, 97-80. In the other qualifying round, Greece overcame the Soviet Union by 81-80. Some Soviets who had no problem to win the Bronze by defeating Italy by a clear 104-76.
