AEK got off to a strong start (11-2), allowing them to dominate throughout the first half with a 10-point lead at half-time (53-44). In the second half, the match moved in spurts, first the French tightened the score, then the Greeks left again (96-87). The Monaco gave its last harness to approach five, was at the most that they approached.

Green (19 points), Punter and Sakota, both with 16 points, were the best in AEK Athens. At Monaco, Gladyr, with 18, was the top scorer.
